Why are you so arrogant? We all know you just use random big words to sound smart when you really aren’t all that smart
I’m confused: arrogance invites the incorrect usage of words?
It’s fine, I’ll accept your ignorance and keep using those pesky “big words” to answer this question, just because I know you’ll have a field day....
Been around the world and found that only stupid people are breeding, the...

What are the things you consider to be “priceless?”
In essence, the intangible.
The moments that can’t be purchased, that are unique, and that make you glad to have experienced them. Those feelings, the happiness bound to them, and the simplicity of it all. I know it’s a very scattered answer, but it feels justified.
Ask me anything
Today, I traded a ten for two fives. I was dumbfounded as to why anyone would need it, until I decided to buy something from the vending machines. Yeah, I kept my ten and my hunger.
Drawing Life
“What’s life?” a voice whispered in my ear.
I turn to observe a child, clad in overalls and a red shirt, like a model in a Sears catalog from the nineties. She has an elongated bowl cut, but it is typical, considering that she is another disadvantaged child that I aid in this tutoring program. She was seven and in second grade. Her teacher gave her the assignment of finding ten...

Who is your favorite author and why do you admire him/her?
If there’s anything about me you should know, it’s that I can almost never answer any questions about my “favorites.” Instead, I hope it’s okay that I lay out some of my favorite authors instead.
Fyodor Dostoevsky. I probably didn’t mention this while we worked on that dumb project,...
I feel like I’ve betrayed who I am.
I was myself when I was two, when I had no fear for the dangers of the world and no grasp of the “what-if’s”. I didn’t need anyone to be happy. I had my imagination, which freed me from the chains of reality. I believed so greatly that I could define the world my way. I could do anything I set out to do. I didn’t need...

What do you think life is about?
I recall a discussion I had in my Logic class, years ago, where were discussing whether we should choose to live in a virtual world that would simulate all our dreams coming true. I argued that “there would be little point in living in a world where one’s actions would make no genuine difference, since we are animals of ambition that need...
"Messing Around"
benbacolores:
My aunts were talking about how my cousin in the Philippines got his girlfriend pregnant. He’s only 17. They told me that I should mess around in life first with other girls before I settled down.
I just don’t get it. When I guy goes around and gets what he wants, he receives praise. When a girl does this, she’s branded a slut/whore/etc.
Why do we label women like that?
Oh, you...

Why is it that people fear?
There are some rational fears, the innate ones that hold your life over everything else.
But why are people afraid of the dark? Afraid of public speaking? of heights?
It’s a question I’ve asked others before, and the answer always seems to contain “I don’t know what…” as a response. It’s their uncertainty that gets in the way...

What did you dream about last night?
I was riding a horse, when suddenly I was I had a gun in my hands and shooting these other people on horses. Sounds like a cheesy Western movie. And, oh yeah, it was all set in CAMS. Symbolic much?

You know, I saw a bee the other day.
Please type what the bee might have symbolized when used in a work of literature.
I just laughed when I read this question.
I’m not sure I know enough about the context of your life or anything, so it could mean a number of things:
- Some sort of fleeting reality that can hurt you? - Bees can sting, but they make honey when...

What is it about the sky that makes me think?
The stars and an almost full moon with a cerulean backdrop…
So it's 2010.
It’s the transition into a new year. Yet, what really changes?
Nothing.
There’s absolutely nothing different about 11:59 P.M. on December 31st and 12:01 on January 1st. They’re just numbers, relative measurements of time, following a Caesarian calendar and a Greenwich clock.
Then why expect anything to be different?
Of course, there’s that feeling. The start of another...
